Food52 Genius Desserts is out and it’s the book of the month for Food52 Baking Club! I’m so excited about this but a bit bummed out that the library copy hasn’t arrived yet. So I’m living vicariously through what I can read of it online. For my first recipe, I decided to tackle the super popular World Peace Cookies, a recipe from Dorie Greenspan and Pierre Herme. This recipe can be found all over the place, including Dorie’s Cookies, but here is the link to the Food52 iteration of it.
These are a classic slice and bake cookie but what makes them special is that they combine the flavors of an American chocolate chip cookie with a French chocolate sable. They are quick and easy and if you share the love with your neighbours, world peace is sure to follow. Looking forward to many more posts from this book!
